I got a RR-Net at the expo. It works super! They did not do a good demo for it at the Expo. You can download a d64 from the 1541 drive. Do a $ of the files and save a file. I got a SuperCPU and ramlink. But putting the jumpers on the Retro Replay both to the other way jump to not jump and not just to jumped. It just see the RR-Net and can work with the SuperCPU and ramlink. The superCPU make it come up very fast. about a page a sec. With out it's about a line a sec. When 1st starting I ping my 64 address 192.168.0.64 and it takes it about 2 to 3 minutes to get a ping back. But with the SuperCPU as soon as it loads it gets it back. The RR-Net is super! Very nice to have the commodore with with ethernet!

Raymond: When you say "They did not do a good demo for it at the Expo" could you describe what was not good about it? It wasn't good because I didn't use a SCPU? It wasn't good because I didn't have Internet access (when I was told there *would* be dial-up access? Hotel's fault)? AFAIK, the demo went fairly well, many people were paying attention, and I believe we answered everyone's questions...

Yeah, not having Internet access this year was a bummer, especially since so many of our demos were Internet-related. Memo to self: bring home networking equipment and Linux server next year for people doing demos.

Just a FYI, I always bring an 8-port hub and plenty of cable. We should cable up a subnet next time. I got dibs on 192.168.0.64!
